Nutrition…the Surfer’s (apple) core!

Like surfing…nutrition is a lifestyle we should at some point all adopt! Some have found the benefits of a good balanced diet early in life and others are still feeling lethargic!

We can’t force everyone to pick up a stick and go surf, as we can’t force feed wheatgrass and lentils into the mouths of stubborn participants!
Yet if all we can do is educate, nurture and with time hopefully nourish some anaemic souls! Then (surf) God damn it, i will keep trying!!
It is a shame that our culture has to first be hit by a tsunami of illness, to find true solace and harmony with nutrition; but his seems to be the way its benefit’s first get stumbled upon.

Benefits including; increased energy, improved sleep, boosted immunity, weight control, glowing skin, a strong heart and increased life longevity to name just but a few.

It all starts with a balanced diet including all the food groups; Carbohydrates, Proteins, good fats, dairy, vitamins, minerals and plenty of water.

Again just like surfing it can sometimes be hard to surf the whole year through, as it can to make the right food choices all week.

If we can try 80% of the time, that 20% is entirely up to you; take up tennis, order that banana bread or have a wednesday glass of red! It’s fine!
